Going the Extra Step for Foster Kids
We’ve partnered with Ticket to Dream to help foster kids feel a little famous.
Everyone deserves to experience the joy that comes from a new pair of shoes. Thanks to our new partnership with Ticket to Dream, we are helping foster kids feel famous, too.
Ticket to Dream is dedicated to providing hope and opportunity for foster kids across the nation, so they can just be kids. Together with businesses and community members Ticket to Dream has provided over 4 million foster children with everyday essentials like properly fitting shoes, clothing, school supplies, laptops, even access to extracurriculars and aging out of care support to reduce homelessness. Ticket to Dream partners with over 200 non-profit foster care partners, reaching over 200,000 foster children across all 50 states, to help foster kids quickly and efficiently in our communities.
Thanks to your generosity, Famous Footwear has donated over $8.8 million to Ticket to Dream to make a difference in so many foster kids’ lives.
It’s the Season of Giving
We’re proud to share that with your help and through our partnership with Ticket to Dream, we have been able to impact the lives of 37,327 foster kids this holiday season. We donated over 300 laptops, fulfilled the wish lists of 10 group homes— impacting over 200 foster youths, and we purchased more than 34,000 holiday gifts and experiences. 10 cities also hosted over 650 foster youth for shopping sprees to help them celebrate the holidays with a VIP shopping experience. Furthermore, we donated over 1,200 shoes and slippers to help foster youths feel a little famous this holiday season.
